Hi Community!
The FC Barcelona player had muscle problems.
Ferran Torres will not be available for the Spanish national team's next match. The FC Barcelona striker has been ruled out of the match against Bulgaria, corresponding to the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, to be held in Valladolid.
The Valencian player was experiencing muscle discomfort after playing against Georgia in Elche. These ailments, evaluated by the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, led to additional tests that ruled out an anatomical injury, diagnosing only muscle overload.
In an exercise of responsibility and prevention, and considering the approaching international match, the coaching staff has decided to release the player so as not to compromise his physical condition. "The policy of not taking risks is maintained and the player's health is prioritized," explained federation sources.
FC Barcelona, the forward's home club, has been promptly informed of the diagnosis and the Federation's decision.
The third player to drop out due to problems
In principle, De la Fuente could call up another player. But it's not clear. Lamine, Haujsen, and Ferran have already been dropped from this squad. Physical problems are taking their toll at this stage of the season. We'll see if the national team calls up another player.
See You soon!
