Pedri González appeared before the media in his native Tenerife to talk about the UEFA Nations League match between Spain and Switzerland.
This Monday's match between Spain and Switzerland will have a very special flavour for Pedri González. The midfielder will play on the island where he grew up in front of a public that will be devoted to him and the rest of the Canarians in the squad, such as Ayoze Pérez and Yéremi Pino. Regarding his debate with Dani Olmo, the Tenerife native stressed that "I am lucky to play with Dani at Barça, I understand him, it is a decision of the manager and there I do not have much to say."
Pedri explained that "physically I feel good" compared to other years and that now "I have consistency that makes me enjoy football. It's a great start to the season and hopefully it will be for a long time."
On his feelings, the midfielder said that "both in the national team and at Barça I feel comfortable. It's a positional game. I was given more time perhaps because I was playing in important tournaments and at FC Barcelona I didn't have this continuity."
Regarding the load of matches, Pedri reflected that "I'm finding my body, when you relapse, you look for solutions until you find the key. I've found what suits me well and I have the continuity that I like."
Regarding his renewal with FC Barcelona, the player said: "I'm very calm, my agents are taking care of it, I haven't had any news, everything is going well."
