Hoy tenemos el honor de contar con la visita de @kathajimenezr, una hiver de profesión periodista que ha demostrado un gran potencial como miembro activo de la comunidad. En su blog podemos encontrar distintas experiencias de sus viajes y algunas anécdotas que nos llevan a reflexionar.
Paulatinamente ha forjado su camino en Hive, mostrando amor, constancia y perseverancia. Es un placer compartir su historia y develar un poco más de su esencia. Disfruten esta entrevista y sigan de cerca la trayectoria de esta querida hiver.

1. Cuéntanos un poco de ti. ¿Quién eres fuera de la pantalla de Hive? (Profesión, hobbies, de dónde eres, etc.)
Uyyyy pregunta seria Jajaja, A ver…. Soy periodista de LatamBlocks, News Influencer, conferencista internacional y voluntaria de Mujeres en Crypto.
Entre mis hobbies está leer e ir al cine.
Soy guayanesa, criada en Maracaibo y actualmente vivo en Valencia. Siempre me gusta decir que soy venezolanísima.
2. ¿Cómo llegaste a Hive y cuál fue tu primera impresión?
Llegué a Hive después de conocer a la comunidad en la primera edición de la Caracas Blockchain Week, con el equipo de Nathalia, Gora, Arlet, allí comenzó todo y apenas pasaron unas semanas logré abrir mi cuenta con el apoyo de las chicas. Para iniciar mis publicaciones si fue una tragedia, me costó un montón dar el primer paso, no quería hacerlo mal, estaba en esa búsqueda de tener temas específicos de los cuales pudiera hablar y sentirme segura. Gora me dio un buen empujón con una clase detallada de cómo funcionaba la red social; sin embargo, aún no me decidía a iniciar. Fue después de recibir un tutorial paso a paso de la mano de Cristal cuando hice esa primera publicación y comencé a ser más constante dentro de Hive y tener más contacto con la comunidad. Ahora formo parte de la gran familia de Hispapro.
Con respecto a la primera impresión, desde la primera vez que los vi como comunidad dije Wou, eso es mucha gente junta queriendo a una comunidad y con respecto a la red social me parece que es una maravilla que existan este tipo de desarrollos que le permitan a las personas tener el control de su red social y además de eso puedan participar en el crecimiento de la plataforma. Una de las cosas que más me alegra es que Hive se ha convertido en una solución económica para los venezolanos y así como para nuestro país, seguramente para muchos en el mundo.
3. ¿Cuál es la diferencia más grande que ves entre las redes sociales convencionales (como Facebook, Instagram, tik tok, etc) y las redes sociales que hay dentro de Hive?
La diferencia más grande que existe, está a la vista y no necesita anteojos, como dicen por ahí. En Hive existe la posibilidad de formar parte, de construir en la red social, porque es descentralizada. Con Hive no me siento ajena como pasa con las redes sociales centralizadas donde existe un CEO, un director, etc. Aquí la comunidad es la que se organiza para el crecimiento y la expansión de esta red social descentralizada.
4. Si tuvieras que definir Hive en una sola frase, ¿cuál sería?
Comunidad
5. ¿En qué comunidades sueles publicar o interactuar con mayor frecuencia y por qué?
Una de las comunidades que particularmente me encanta compartir es Word Mapping, me encanta la posibilidad de que un espacio se convierta en una ventana donde entre todos podemos compartir los espacios del mundo que conocemos y compartir experiencias, fotografías y hasta lo que sentimos sobre un pedacito del mundo con el que nos tropezamos. Para mí mi esta comunidad es una posibilidad de mirar el mundo a través de las experiencias de los otros. Y pues aquí me gusta compartir porque me gusta mucho viajar, a pesar de que no lo hago tanto como quisiera.
6. ¿Cuál ha sido tu mayor logro o la experiencia más gratificante que has tenido en Hive hasta ahora?
Conocer gente maravillosa, con corazones increíbles, con ganas enormes de alcanzar sus metas, de lograr objetivos y lo mejor de todo es que están dispuestos a ayudar a otros.
7. ¿Qué fue lo más difícil de aprender en tus inicios?
Creo que la respuesta correcta más allá de aprender es desaprender. En una red social descentralizada nada funciona como en las centralizadas, porque aquí de verdad necesitas mayor compenetración con la comunidad para que esa red que es tu comunidad te apoye y permitas ver un mayor crecimiento. Así que sí, lo más dificil para mí fue desaprender.
8. ¿Cómo describirías tu visión a futuro dentro del ecosistema de Hive?
Me gustaría creer que el super poder que tiene Hive, que es precisamente su comunidad, logre alcanzar rincones tan lejanos que le permita a la aplicación un crecimiento abismal, donde la gente pueda conocer los beneficios de que su contenido le pertenezca y además poder beneficiarse de eso.
9. ¿Qué consejo le darías a un hiver que apenas está comenzando?
Intenta conocer lo más que puedas sobre el funcionamiento de la red social antes de entrar, siempre donde vayas a invertir tu tiempo y tu dinero debes saber de qué se trata, porque ese conocimiento es el que te permite que tu actividad y tu iniciativa perdure en el tiempo. Además que debe darle importancia a la comunidad porque es eso lo que nos permite crecer.
10. Si quieres explicarle Hive a un familiar o amigo, para que se una a la plataforma, ¿qué le dirías para convencerlo?
Solo le diría que tiene la oportunidad de cambiar su vida tanto económica como personalmente. Dentro de la comunidad hay personas muy increíbles que suman muchísimo.
11. Para finalizar, ¿Has tenido alguna experiencia directa con Hispapro? Si es así, ¿qué tal ha sido?
Tengo una muy buena experiencia con hispapro porque fue este equipo de gente quienes que me terminaron de dar el último empujón, casi que tomada de la mano, para concretar el inicio de mis publicaciones. Creo que el acompañamiento dentro de estas plataformas es necesario porque los primeros pasos siempre generan algo de inquietud, pero cuando tienes una comunidad que te respalda, como Hispapro, te sientes tan seguro que es imposible que no arranques dentro de Hive.

Today we are honored to welcome @kathajimenezr, a journalist who has shown great potential as an active member of the community. On her blog, we can find different experiences from her travels and some anecdotes that make us reflect.
She has gradually forged her path in Hive, showing love, consistency, and perseverance. It is a pleasure to share her story and reveal a little more of her essence. Enjoy this interview and follow the trajectory of this beloved Hiver closely.

1. Tell us a little about yourself. Who are you outside of Hive? (Profession, hobbies, where you're from, etc.)
Oops, that's a serious question. Haha, let's see... I'm a journalist for LatamBlocks, a news influencer, an international speaker, and a volunteer for Mujeres en Crypto (Women in Crypto).
My hobbies include reading and going to the movies.
I'm from Guayana, raised in Maracaibo, and currently living in Valencia. I always like to say that I'm very Venezuelan.
2. How did you come to Hive and what was your first impression?
I came to Hive after meeting the community at the first edition of Caracas Blockchain Week, with Nathalia, Gora, and Arlet's team. That's where it all started, and after just a few weeks, I managed to open my account with the girls' support. Starting my posts was a tragedy. It took me a lot to take the first step. I didn't want to do it wrong. I was searching for specific topics that I could talk about and feel confident about. Gora gave me a big push with a detailed lesson on how the social network worked, but I still couldn't decide to get started. It was after receiving a step-by-step tutorial from Cristal that I made that first post and began to be more consistent on Hive and have more contact with the community. Now I am part of the great Hispapro family.
Regarding my first impression, from the moment I saw them as a community, I said, "Wow, that's a lot of people together who love a community." And regarding the social network, I think it's wonderful that these types of developments exist, allowing people to have control over their social network and, in addition to that, to participate in the growth of the platform. One of the things that makes me happiest is that Hive has become an affordable solution for Venezuelans and, just like for our country, surely for many around the world.
3. What is the biggest difference you see between conventional social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and the social networks within Hive?
The biggest difference is obvious and doesn't require glasses, as they say. With Hive, you have the opportunity to be part of and build the social network because it is decentralized. With Hive, I don't feel like an outsider, as I do with centralized social networks where there is a CEO, a director, etc. Here, the community organizes itself for the growth and expansion of this decentralized social network.
4. If you had to define Hive in one sentence, what would it be?
Community
5. Which communities do you usually post in or interact with most often, and why?
One of the communities I particularly love to share in is Word Mapping. I love the possibility of a space becoming a window where we can all share the places we know in the world and share experiences, photographs, and even how we feel about a little piece of the world we come across. For me, this community is an opportunity to see the world through the experiences of others. And I like to share here because I really enjoy traveling, even though I don't do it as much as I would like to.
6. What has been your greatest achievement or most rewarding experience at Hive so far?
Meeting wonderful people with incredible hearts, with a tremendous desire to achieve their goals and objectives, and best of all, who are willing to help others.
7. What was the most difficult thing to learn when you started out?
I think the correct answer, beyond learning, is unlearning. In a decentralized social network, nothing works like it does in centralized ones, because here you really need greater rapport with the community so that the network, which is your community, supports you and allows you to see greater growth. So yes, the most difficult thing for me was unlearning.
8. How would you describe your vision for the future within the Hive ecosystem?
I would like to believe that Hive's superpower, which is precisely its community, will reach such distant corners that it will allow the application to grow exponentially, where people can learn about the benefits of owning their content and also benefit from it.
9. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out on Hive?
Try to learn as much as you can about how the social network works before joining. Whenever you invest your time and money, you should know what you're getting into, because that knowledge is what will allow your activity and initiative to endure over time. You should also place importance on the community, because that's what allows us to grow.
10. If you wanted to explain Hive to a family member or friend to get them to join the platform, what would you say to convince them?
I would just tell them that they have the opportunity to change their life both financially and personally. There are some incredible people in the community who contribute a lot.
11. Finally, have you had any direct experience with Hispapro? If so, what was it like?
I have had a very good experience with Hispapro because it was this team of people who gave me the final push, almost holding my hand, to get my publications off the ground. I think support within these platforms is necessary because the first steps always generate some anxiety, but when you have a community behind you, like Hispapro, you feel so confident that it's impossible not to get started on Hive.
