Hey everyone in Draw A Day Community!
Pardon me if I make any notable mistakes, I might not really be conversant with how things are done here but I've gone through the rules of the community and carefully read them and understood them before making a move here.
Going through the community, I stumbled on the ongoing April challenge; DTIYS Challenge: The Old Boar by @shookt
I was reluctant at first to participate but after much consideration, I realized there was no harm in trying.
Over the years, I've been away from my pencils but slowly picking it back again and for my very first art on Hive Blockchain, I opted into the Draw A Day Community challenge.
So here is my style and version of the Old Boar and my entry to DTIYS challenge. I started with a rough sketch ( obviously I couldn't post that step, cause it was indeed rough, trying to come up with an idea and concept of my work).
Then I went further to draft out a lineart from my rough sketch which I later began my colouring and painting journey (this step is one of those tedious steps, because you have to be careful not to paint over other layers and make a mess of your entire work especially if you did everything on a single layer)
After painting it layers after layers, I finished my art with a suiting background color to give more vibrancy to my work.
I do hope you like my participation in the "draw a day challenge".
I am leaving this little note here for my fellow artists on Hive, I see you guys and I'm amazed by your works, and I also would love to connect with you guys, I know it takes a while to notice and encourage a new user, and I am not rushing or bothering anyone, I just love to receive some guide where I get lost.
I know some people are reluctant in sharing their tool of work or their hacks here, but I plead you guys to be of help to others if they ask nicely and also point them towards the right path, thank you!
