Hello my dear Hivers of the @daily blog community. I hope you're all well and safe.
Today I was just scrolling through my phone's gallery. Looking for something to post about. Most of my photos were my children's. My daughter Yashfeen, 4 years old and Yusef, 4 months old.
While scrolling at the photos I found this photo cute. I laughed to myself. My baby boy sat in a pink walker!
I'll tell you the story behind it. So, my eldest child is a girl. Definitely we bought her a walker of course. And since she's a girl, the color is pink. Since we thought of having another baby after her, we kept the walker.
After 2 years my sister-in-law and my eldest brother got pregnant with their first child. When the baby was starting to walk, we have them borrow it.
They returned it to us when our baby got 4 months old. And true enough our baby loves it so much. The color won't matter that much because they're still babies anyway. What matters is it serves the same purpose. It even is cost-efficient. We saved a little from buying another walker.
Actually it's not the walker only that our son is using from her sister's baby things back then. Even this "duyan" or hammock is his sister's.
There are also couple of shirts and onesies he's using which her sister also used back then.
These printed shirts were gifts from my mother and my sister-in-law for our daughter Yashfeen which is still worn by our son now.
This soft and comfortable shirts were our own purchase. These are also worn by our son til today.
I remember my mother would always tell me not to buy too much things for babies because they grow so fast. Those things will get smaller as the baby grows so it's not practical to buy lots of it. And I thinks it's kinda true and effective. I saved from it.
Some may think I'm frugal, but I would rather say it's being practical. Why buy lots of the same thing, when I can still use it. They serve same purpose and I think that's what matters. I simply believe in the law of utility and I guess that's something worthy to share with you all. Reusing is even good for the environment, don't you agree?
I think that would be all for today. Hope you enjoyed reading. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
