Hello Wednesday walkers,
Today, I will take you with me on a walk trough one of the prettiest city's in the Netherlands, in my opinion. The city of Utrecht.
A historic city with a lot of old historical buildings. And the canals are so much prettier than the once in Amsterdam!
Like this picture. look how green it is. Don't look at the water color, I am not sure if its a good quality but it,s not smelly at all. Probably you should not drink it if you love life 😂
Lkook at this guy in his kayak. He is loving hos life to, and enjoin the spring sun and temperatures.
Even when there is a garbage boat in the picture, it's still beautiful. Yes you heard me, garbage is picked up by boat in the city center. The streets are just to small and busy for a full size garbage truck. Do you have something like a garbage boat to in your country?
You can walk along the water along the shipyard cellars. These were very practical in the old day's of the city. Than I mean from the year 1600 until the present day. Many old cellars are transformed to restaurants or bar dancing. They are very good isolated so nobody is bothers by it if the music is playing loud. The goods those establishments needed could still being brought in by boat. like the "beer boat" This boat brings liquor and beer to the bars in the city center. it's electric so also environmental friendly.
These are the little streets just outside of the city center. People have been living here for ages now and many of these houses are very old. One of these houses is from the year 1420. Unbelievable that it still is standing.
In the distance you see the new houses that they have build but I think its very good that they keep the old houses intact.
Of course bikes every were.
So green and so many plants outside the houses.
And a lovely rose in the middle of the city.
