You know these Chinese boats are so cool! I even prefer them compared to regular ships that Europeans used. Good and nice silver you got there

The Ming Dynasty reached an amazing level of agricultural, political and technological apex. The 217 ship strong Ming Treasure fleet not only established peaceful trade relations from the east African coast to the Mugal Indian empire to the South China sea to the mid Pacific. Built to impress, a remarkable system of keeping foods fresh, an efficient system of maintaining water purity, precision navigational equipment, even solved the heath problems like scurvy maintaining the health of the crews on long voyages. All this before Christopher Columbus set off on his first voyage. BTW, Columbus' Santa Maris was about a fifth of the size of Admiral Zheng He's flagship.

I'd blow the minds of Europeans if the Ming Fleet ever sailed into Europe, and history may have unfolded very different.

Dragon boat racing has many chapters not just in China but all over the world, dozens in the US alone. Several in the UK and of course Vancouver has had this race for decades. The Dragon boat race silver bar is the first one Ive seen for the Hong Kong festival. So far, this is the only bar after scouring the Internet, there's got to be more of these out there and as usual it's hard to pin down any information of the Jeweler that minted these.
And you saw it here first.
