Every November 1 and 2, it is expected to have lots of people who visited cemeteries bringing their candles and flowers and offered to graved loveones. We decided to went to the cemetery at exactly 8 in the morning, it is better to go there at that time because there still few people are there and aside of that the weather was still not intense. Aside of Visiting at the Cemetery, we also offered foods in the altar and the foods we offered are those favorite foods of our lost love one.
In other Countries, trick or treat by children are very popular, they wear halloween costumes bringing a baskets and went to houses says, "Trick Or Treat". Not only the children but also teens and adults celebrating halloween parties. They put spooky decorations on there houses just like spider webs, Artificial skulls and light pumpkins. Candies and other sweet snacks are given to the kids who wears a halloween costumes or sometimes children are doing tricks.
But here in our Country, All Saints and all souls day is the day remembering of love one who already rested in Peace. November 1 is the day were the delicious foods are offered to the altar, and before the foods will eat We do prayers for the souls and wait for a few hours until it reach 8 in the evening. When It reach 8 in the evening, the food we served to the altar can ba abled to eat.
November 2, is the date and time of visiting at the cemetery. We also decorated and gathered lots of flowers to brought at the cemetery also some candles. This is what we always do, and I learned decorating the flowers from my Uncle. Flowers will be put at the top of Grave and also the lighted candles. It is very important to remembered our loveone who departed in this World. This is a sign of love and care to them even if they are already departed here in this World. Offering candles, flowers and prayers for them is a good kind of respect and love to them.
As we celebrated and remembered All Saints and All Souls day, aside of doing trick or treat, attending halloween parties we must also visiting the graves of our friends and Relatives and offered some flowers, candles and prayers. And we can be very sure that they will be very happy seeing us that we can't still forget them.
