That's a sweet choice. I don't have coffee table pieces, but its a cool idea. But similar, I carry different rounds and will show the odd person, usually a server. My friend and I showed a waitress silver dollars, and then he set a 1oz gold maple in her hand. Needless to say, there was conversation.
I can imagine the wide eyed waitress holding the gold coin. $6,000 CAD of concentrated buying power in her hand. Perhaps representing a year of savings if she was frugal enough.
Right now a five foot Christmas tree stands on top of my Coffee table. This Proclamation coins adds more variety to my Coffee table collection and a new subject to my pirate historian repertoire.
