Is there such a thing as a Bokeh overdose?
I don't think so! :D
The more, the better, I would say. More bubbles, more swirls, more dreamy, milky blur. Whatever it is, it is never enough.
And I could, of course, post it more often, but I like to change things up too.
I have some photos I took last spring in my mum's garden that were waiting for the right time. I think this is it. The winter is here, and even though it is sunny, it is pretty cold. Right now, it is almost impossible to imagine how warm that day must have been back in May.
All the bushes with fresh leaves, bugs around, and warm rays of sunshine (I still hate summer, but I do like spring).
This one just makes me dizzy...
But it doesn't always work to just get out and shoot whatever there is with the correct lens. You still need the proper background with some light spots, shiny leaves, and sunrays.
Here I got the nice blackberry flowers with some bees but no bubbles. The bushes behind were in shadow, and they were way too dark. It did give me a nice, contrasting, dark background, but no bokeh. Not this time.
No bokeh, but I like how these turned out even if the lens is not made to shoot closeups. And you can spot the few bees :) It is always a bonus.
Bonus shot:
A lazy garden boss not impressed by the bokeh (but with some light swirl around her).
Not impressed at all!
