I don't have stats so don't quote me, but I'll say I find myself surrounded by an increasingly lonely and unhappy community these days. I have heard talks about the 'loneliness epidemic', but there's also the financial stress epidemic amongst many other depressing thoughts we fill our heads with that eventually drives us down a rabbit hole.

It is especially surprising because like I stated in my last piece, we are in the greatest period ever known to civilization, and it is thanks to the information and technological boom. It only follows that we should be experiencing the happiest period likewise in existence, but it isn't so for the most parts.

Actually we're seemingly unhappier because we're more confused than ever. A lot of us struggle with things like meaning and purpose. It has led to the rise of a lot of online 'coaches', many of whom are struggling with similar issues themselves. Such is the nature of life however, and it should come as no surprise that people seeking direction are willing to take advice even from those struggling to find their way.

Regardless am of the opinion that some of the information out there is solid Gold. We may under-look them but in truth the fault of impact doesn't belong to the advice, but the application. A lot of us simply do not apply what we have learned, even when in agreement about the value it possesses. Taking action should be the very first lesson we learn as adults, because that is the primary step to finding our way.
