Nightmare called dentist 🦷🪥

in Daily Blog9 days ago

Hello everyone!

Today I faced what has been one of my biggest lifelong fears… the dentist. Yes, the dentist. The one where you sit helplessly in the chair while someone pokes around your mouth with sharp instruments. Honestly? I’d rather go bungee jumping...

I’ve hated dentist appointments since I was a kid, and it’s not without a reason. The dentist I had back then was a living nightmare😭😭— rude, cold, and completely careless. She once ruined my perfectly healthy tooth instead of fixing the actual problem!?!? That’s trauma for life..

As a kid, I’d fake being sick just to avoid going to her. And now, as an adult, I still panic like I’m 8 years old again. I wish I could explain how intensely anxious I get; I start shaking, I even have panic attacks. One happened today😬.

The appointment was set less than a week ago, and I spent every day crying and stressing about it, but Sunday and today were the worst. Poor @ssekulji had to put up with my nervous meltdown and a bunch of panicky messages (you’re the best❤️).

On my way there, I was already teary and panicking. Mmy brain was in full “fight or flight” mode. And once I stepped into the office, the nurse immediately saw how stressed I was. I was basically walking on needles.

Last time, my heart rate hit 140 bpm from pure anxiety. Today? A calm and chill 102 bpm. Progress, right🤣?

I asked the dentist for the only thing that actually helps calm me, a numbing injection so I don’t feel it. Thankfully, she understood and once the injection kicked in, I finally stopped panicking. The rest of the appointment went pretty smoothly (even though I was counting every second).

In total, I was in the chair for around 30 minutes, which included talking, numbing, and the actual work. Not gonna lie, I still walked out of there mentally drained, but happy asf that it ended.

It’s also my last day as a 23 year old :). When I wake up tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my 24th year on Earth :). Wow. Time flies…

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thank you for upvoting, reblogging & commenting. It is greatly appreciated :)❤️!

But you survived and that's the most important thing at the moment! :)

Barely 😅

Yay it's one of my fear too that's why I have many teeths ruined.

Maybe it might be lack of professionalism or just no human sympathy from the doctor, but since everything is fine that's the most important, continue taking food care of yourself, dear one.

When I changed the dentist office I finally realized how should a patient be treated🫡. I love my dentist now🦷

Thank you so much, you too🥹!

Well,it's over...you can smile now...&
Happy Birthday to You!!🍻

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes
