Greeting Fellow dCity Major.
It's been less than two weeks ago I made my update and today I have already seen my dCity started to lose some Income again. There isn't enough Income to be tax refunded.
I have 19 unemployment too, which I believe this drives up some social supports too. I am not saying my dCity is crumbling again, this time I get in right in time however I see something important that makes me define another rule of thumb or framework for my dCity weekly updates.
I have 200+ NFT(s) and my total population is already at 343 persons. My dCity has not grown big, even it is far from big however I believe it can not be said as a small one. It's not a micro dCity again, and I should start playing at bigger numbers, ignoring many small details, not all, but many.
So I think It is about time for me to develop and follow a new framework. A framework I use on my dCity and my dCity posts, regarding I almost make changes dan decisions on my dCity journal, only a few super urgent I make hashly decision and do not put those actions on post.
So my new framework will be like this:
- Get my dCity on balance or fix the problem. I mainly use young citizen as part of organic growth. They are very corrosive towards Income, and even they make my dCity grows, the Income depletion will always be an issue. There will be other problems, but overpopulated with young citizens will always be the main one.
- Try to build something here. I can always kill the problem and let it be, it is not wrong however I should build something else to accelerate my dCity growth. Even Simple thing like adding population and get some education points are good.
- Always say what to do next, what I like, and what I wish I will do or I have done before. It's the human side of me, which sometime I feel like I am less emo in this idle game.
Of course, before I go, I will always follow this rule of thumb::
- Buildings > Citizens. Initially I bought cheap citizen such as workers, because they are cheaper. I got some buffs, like tax refund, income, popularity by buying special citizens in discount. But when they died, stats dropped badly, and my rank crumbled. So Right now I focus more on buildings over citizens.
- My Income Rank is mainly generated by young citizens. Instead of trying different methods from selling them and replace them with better NFTs or Cards, whether they are building or citizens, I try to focus increasing basic income and fighting social support cost in order to be able to house in more young citizens.
- Incase I will add new rule here, they should not change the first and second rules.
here we go then...
PUSHING UP INCOME AND KILL UNEMPLOYED
The first part is about maintaining my Base Income so I can get good amount of Tax Refund. This time my tax refund has outgrown the base income, which make some of them useless.
I can go with adding Social Aid Office, but I see the market price for that building is not making any sense. So I will choose the easiest way, which is getting either Ice Cream Shop or Music Store, or Barbershop to push up my Base Income.
I added this 7 Barbeshop for 5313 $SIM, this was actually a great steal for me, 759 $SIM for a barbershop is ridiculously cheap. I guess the rumor of new edition packs are going to be released, making some people dumping cards to get liquid $SIM.
Let see how these 7 Barbershops will make some differences. I am in advantage not having to add some population due to those unemployed workers.
They solve my problem for sure. I have a more controlled volume of unemployed workers and my base income grows well. Now I have 191 Max Income to be taxed, so I have some good spare taxable income for maybe around 2 to 3 weeks.
My Problems are solved now, lets move to next stage
APEING BARBER SHOP
As I said above, someone dumped Barbershop at 759 $SIM. so I guess this round I need to ape all of those Barbershop.
There are 13 more cheap Barbershop in the market, and I get them all. Of course those 13 Barbershop will demand for 13 x 3 = 39 workers, so I get 40 population more by adding a couple of apartments here.
There, 15 Cards for 21.865 $SIM. It's not an expensive one, and I think I will have a great stats now. However I miscalculated one thing here:
I have got a disaster, 23 unemployed workers. I forget to count in the popularity factor. I can leave this issue for next week, however I feel atleast I need to do something to lower this unemployment in my dCity.
So I make this quick buy, a couple of Ad Agency for 2.198 $SIM. I think adding a little value of creativity is not bad idea.
So Finally this is what I get today:
A massive jump in Base Income, which right now I almost doubled my dCity income. It has 512 $SIM as base income and 321 $SIM taxable income. I think it will be safe for another month, a great space to house in more young citizens here.
POPULAR DCITY
There is a good and bad things happen recently in my dCity. let talk about the bad thing first. I am quite disappointed with my Income growth. It is not like I do nothing here, it's just the cost to pump it up are very expensive, and to do it in lower budget, it takes time.
I am taking the lower budget route, that's why sometime from my post you can see that I do things in circle and sometime repetitively doing silly things. Like today I buy Barber shop a couple of times.
Well, that's the cost and the effort you need to spend to get the cost effective way.
Now let's talk the good thing. My dCity Popularity is sky rocketing. I am on #487 in Popularity now, near top 400 although people who are in top 400 Popularity all have monstrous size of dCity.
I am not ruling out any possibility for me to make another jump. Everything is on the sight now. I see many possibilities and a few new roads I could take, however right now I think the most important one is to focus on my initial goal... Which is to beat @arveno and @ramadhanight in Income rank
Ok that's all. thank you guys for reading my update here
