And it's a year already...

I remember this time last year, I decided to join one of the best-no, the best of course-web3 blockchain. It was a decision I'm grateful to have made. This blockchain; Hive has been a great space to be in for the past 356 days. Today marks my one-year Hive birthday. Yeah, you can tell me Hivey birthday. Chuckles.
The journey to this point and anniversary on the blockchain has been one that's stashed with a lot of knowledge, lessons, ideas, growth, encouragement, consistency and all. Does it look fast? It kind of looks like such. This makes me realise that when you're engaged in something; delivering and receiving value, you could lose track of time.
I have my friends to thank who insisted I join this beautiful blockchain. They consistently encourage me time to time to give it a try, which last year looked like the climax of it and I had to hop in. No, I wasn't just resisting joining the blockchain, some things held me back then. But I'm glad I finally joined a year ago.

Being here has allowed me to express myself without resistance or the feeling of not matching up. Yes, there's the challenge to grow which I took and it helped me get better. For a young mind who has harnessed writing skills to enrol in competitions and contests with little or no reward/recognition, Hive made the difference.
There's a lot I can mention when it comes to the influence and impact of Hive. The rewards for my skills and efforts are there, and I'm grateful for that. Having a space like this where what you bring is valued and rewarded is beautiful. Even beyond that, Hive has indeed helped me to achieve much more.
Through the several communities on the blockchain, I got to connect and interact with many people of diverse personalities and cultures, aiding me to learn more about others, where they come from and what they stand for, even without a physical connection. I see it as the power of Hive. So far, I've established some, and I see myself doing more before this time next year.
Engagement on the blockchain has led me to different communities and different people's posts. I've been a writer, but I've learnt more by constant engagement in this space. Beyond writing even, since we know Hive is a hub of virtually everything. I've seen writings, music, crafts, and skills that inspired me. And it shows the blissful nature of Hive.

Some of my desires on this blockchain were to grow, connect and explore. Fortunately, I'm achieving that, and even more, with rewards coming my way as well. Hive has turned out to be a place where I find expression. I'm hoping that before the next anniversary, I'll be able to explore other niches the blockchain offers beyond writing; like express my graphics design skills which I haven't really showcased.
Before I drop this Hivey birthday post, I must acknowledge my friend @oluthomas who did well in encouraging me to be a part of this blockchain. Also, to my friend @ovey10 who took the duty to inform and onboard me, I'm grateful to you. To everyone who has been a friend and connection, and to all who have provided support, thank you for making this space wonderful. We do more!
