I still use the handshake as the promise or your word and will hold you to this as this is an agreement between two parties. Many do not like the handshake deal but those that believe in this will always be happy to shake on the deal and they are the ones who will stick to the agreement.

Handshake or given word should be still respected, that is what people with strong moral principles do, but unfortunately there are not many these days. It's good that you have people like that in your circle.
