My last trip was to Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, in Brazil. It took place in March of this year and was for professional reasons. That didn't stop me from taking the opportunity to bring my family and get to know a bit more about the culture and surprises that a beautiful city like Curitiba has to offer.
One of the things we did was visit the square where the historic building of the Federal University of Paraná is located. Known for its exuberant architecture, the historic building is surrounded by very well-preserved flora, mostly composed of Araucárias, which are native trees.

Araucaria is a genus of coniferous trees in the family Araucariaceae. There are 22 species in the genus, with widely separated distributions in New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, southeastern Australia, New Guinea, Argentina, Chile, and southern and part of southeastern Brazil.

Besides the outdoor tour, we also visited capitalist commercial centers known as shopping malls, which I love! And by chance there was an exhibition taking place where I was able to see up close a beautiful machine like this one:

And not by chance, we knew that a National Vinyl Fair was going to happen, where we dedicated ourselves to looking for some pieces to build our collection. We found some very interesting items, and everyone was able to choose a vinyl record they wanted. The prices were quite varied, and we ended up with:

We also had the opportunity to get to know a little piece of Argentina that lives in the heart of Curitiba: Medialuna. It is an Argentine cafeteria and bakery located in the Alto da XV region, where we could enjoy a delicious coffee served with the tasty medialunas, a classic Argentine recipe that has no comparison! We loved the time spent in this place and I must mention that some products are sold pre-baked to take home!

This trip in particular came at a great time as it sparked the desire to revisit Argentina. We really like the neighboring country, its culture, its beautiful places. And the cuisine is a special highlight! We are thinking about going back to Argentina soon and have already planned a small itinerary.
We will initially travel to the city of Puerto Iguazu, which is on the border, already in Argentina. From there we can take a flight to Buenos Aires where we should land after 3 hours, allowing us to enjoy part of the late afternoon and evening. With this perspective, a few additional overnight stays are enough to ensure a good rest.
Among the things we want to do, the main one is to visit the Teatro Colón, preferably to watch a live performance. This place is very beautiful and has historical architecture, like almost everything in the region.
Another goal is to choose a renowned restaurant to try the cuisine and a good wine. These moments are special and we need to carefully consider the options. Perhaps we will do this in the Puerto Madero area, where the famous Puente de la Mujer is located.
We decided on four days, a short trip to fit into a holiday. June is already approaching and there is a Catholic holiday that will bring Brazil to a halt. We’ll organize ourselves to buy tickets and book accommodation! If everything goes well, we’ll soon be with our hermanos again.

Minha última viagem foi para Curitiba, capital do estado do Paraná, no Brasil. Aconteceu em março deste ano e foi por motivos profissionais. Isso não impediu de aproveitar para levar a família e conhecer um pouquinho mais da cultura e das surpresas que uma bela cidade como Curitiba tem para oferecer.
Uma das coisas que fizemos foi conhecer a praça onde está o prédio histórico da Universidade Federal do Paraná. Conhecido pela sua arquitetura exuberante, o prédio histórico é rodeado por uma flora muito bem conservada, composta em sua maioria por Araucárias, que são árvores nativas.

Além do passeio ao ar livre, também visitamos os centros comerciais capitalistas conhecidos como shopping, que eu adoro! E por um acaso estava ocorrendo uma exposição onde pude ver de perto uma bela máquina como essa:

E não por acaso, sabiamos que aconteceria uma Feira Nacional de Vinil, onde nos dedicamos a procurar algumas peças para montar nossa coleção. Encontramos alguns itens bem interessantes, e cada um pode escolher um disco de vinil que quisesse. Os preços eram bem variados, e ficamos com:

Também tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer um pedacinho da Argentina que vive no coração de Curitiba: Medialuna. É uma cafeteria e panaderia Argentina que fica na região do Alto da XV, onde podemos tomar um delicioso café regado com as deliciosas medialunas, uma receita clássica argentina e que não tem comparação! Adoramos o tempo neste espaço e não posso deixar de mencionar que alguns produtos são vendidos pré-assados para levar para casa!

Esse passeio em especial veio muito a calhar pois despertou a vontade de revisitar a Argentina. Gostamos muito do país vizinho, da sua cultura, dos seus lindos lugares. E a culinária é um destaque especial! Pensamos em voltar para a Argentina em breve, e já montamos um pequeno roteiro.
Inicialmente vamos nos deslocar até a cidade de Puerto Iguazu, que fica na fronteira, já na Argentina. Lá poderemos pegar um vôo para Buenos Aires onde devemos desembarcar após 3 horas, sendo possível aproveitar parte do fim do dia e noite. Com essa perspectiva, poucos pernoites adicionais já são suficientes para garantir um bom descanso.
Dentre as coisas que queremos fazer, a principal é visitar o Teatro Colón, de preferência assistir uma apresentação ao vivo. Esse local é muito bonito e tem uma arquitetura histórica, como quase tudo na região.
Outra coisa é escolher um restaurante conceituado para provar a culinária e um bom vinho, esses momentos são especiais e precisamos analisar bem as possibilidades. Talvez vamos fazer isso na região de Porto Madero, onde temos a famosa Ponte de la Mujer.
Decidimos por quatro dias, uma pequena viagem para encaixar em um feriado. O mês de junho já esta chegando e temos um feriado católico que vai parar o Brasil. Vamos nos organizar para comprar passagens e hospedagem! Se der tudo certo, estaremos novamente junto aos hermanos.
