Greetings SplinterLovers 💙

I hope everyone in my favorite community is doing well. Today we're going to dive into the mysterious "Water Splinter" to talk about a card that is not only beautiful and well-designed in keeping with its element, but also has a secret: it's a magical attacker with life insurance, straight from the Conclave Arcana set. I present to you the imposing "Abyssal Elemental," an Epic card that returns to wreak havoc on a large part of the enemy lineup.

Aspecto visual de la carta

The Abyssal Elemental is an aquatic work of art that evokes the tranquility and danger represented by the sea and its depths, but it is much more than that. At least in terms of design, it is spectacular, and yes, I know it is not a beautiful girl, but this guy really caught my attention:

  • Style: Its body is made up of what appear to be crystals and blue corals with a sea-green color, with a soft light emanating from within. It is a creature that hides at the bottom of the sea, but with a touch of elegance, which is evident in its pose when it presents itself to its enemies.

  • Form: It floats with a mystical pose, with wings that seem to be made of frozen water or crystal, giving it a majestic silhouette. To me, it is a silent and powerful beauty.

On the other hand, to be honest, there isn't much to say about its appearance; it really reminds me of the Little Mermaid's father in the form of water, haha. I imagine you remember that old cartoon, but despite being simple, it still looks great, and I love elemental monsters because they emanate the strongest power that exists on the planet (nature).

Abilities and Statistics

The Abyssal Elemental is a low-to-medium mana cost magical attacker that not only strikes, but also has an incredible survival ability that few others have, but which is very interesting.

Statistics (Level 1 -> Max Level))Level 1Maximum Level (6)What It Means
Cost of Mana66A cost that is well suited to medium-sized battles and some large ones.
Magic Attack13It starts low, but triples at the maximum level.
Shield23Something unusual, a wizard who wears armor—I hadn't seen that before, but I suppose his body made of water is a defense in itself.
Life56Number of solid vital points.
Speed23Average speed.

Key Abilities of Abyssal Elemental:

1) Resurgence - From Level 1: When it dies, it comes back to life with 100% of its hit points and all its abilities and advantages, also removing all its disadvantages, although this is (only once per battle). For me, it's incredible, it's the life insurance that every attacker needs. This card returns to battle immediately, ready to cast another spell, which gives the team as a whole more resilience and another chance to win.

2) Blast - From Level 6: In addition to damaging the main target, it deals extra damage to adjacent monsters. This ability was one of the most broken in the game for quite some time, although with the arrival of many new abilities there are ways to counter it. However, it is still a good ability, undoubtedly one of the strongest.

  • Strategy: This card can cause "Chaos in the Rearguard" for the enemy combination, as it combines its magic attack (which ignores armor) with "Blast" to cause catastrophic damage to the opponent's support line.

My Advice: If you can reach Level 6, you will have its maximum magic attack (3) and the Blast ability, which is the best way to get the most out of this card.

⚖️ When is it best and worst to use it?

The Abyssal Elemental is your best option when the battle promises to be long or when you want to cause massive area damage.

Golden Rules (Where It Shines and Dominates)

  • Earthquake: This rule damages all non-flying monsters at the end of each round. Janni's Resurgence gives her a guaranteed extra life, allowing her to survive one more round than most opponents, which is an incredible advantage, since the idea is to have more units on the field at the end of each round.

  • Average Mana Rules (30-40 Mana): Its cost of 6 mana fits perfectly into teams with good support, giving it the opportunity to be the main or secondary attacker, depending on the combination you decide to use.

  • Aim True: Eliminates attack misses, ensuring that Janni's magic damage (and Blast damage) always hits her opponents, a rule we must take advantage of no matter what.

Care Instructions (Where the Tide Goes Out)

  • Back to Basics: The worst rule ever! It disables Resurgence and Blast. It leaves him as a 1-3 magic attacker for 6 Mana, losing all his value.

  • Counterspell: Since our card uses magic attacks, playing it on a rule where everyone can return magic damage is the worst thing you can do, because even if this card returns to battle, it will be weakened very easily and will not fulfill its objectives.

  • Little League: Only monsters with 4 Mana or less. Its cost of 6 leaves it out of the battle.

Conclusion

Abyssal Elemental is a card that combines a mystical and beautiful design with a vital function: never give up. Its "Resurgence" ability gives it a second chance that frustrates opponents, and its Blast (at high levels) is the icing on the cake for destroying enemy formations.

If you like playing with Water, are looking for a beautiful card that guarantees you an extra attack, and enjoy strategies where the enemy thinks they've won, then this card is what you need for your deck.

With nothing further to add, until next time, "Splinterlords."
