If given the opportunity, what would you do for those who saved the lives of children or those who never tire of getting aid to the survivors during the recent earthquake in Venezuela?

An earthquake is a type of natural disaster. It is an uncontrollable event that shows nature in action while also proving the actions of humans around the world each time such events occur.

The recent earthquake in Venezuela brought untold pain, mass loss of life, hopelessness, fear, and anxiety, yet, in the face of such despair, some humans, both volunteers and humanitarian aid, assisted families daily to dig through the rubble, excavating individuals who had sunk deep into the ground. It was revealed that the first earthquake was about 7.2 magnitude with a depth of about 22 kilometers, and the second one was about 7.5 with a depth of about 10 kilometers at about 39 seconds after the first one.
These humans and volunteers risked their lives, left their families, and joined in the rescue mission to save lives and support families that are passing through trauma, taking care of the wounded people and giving them first aid while transferring them to a better medical facility for escalated care. Some provided food, water, make-shift shelter, clothes, and other basic amenities/ All this goes to show that love doesn’t have boundaries.

Therefore, if I’m allowed to reward those heroes, some of the things I will do include issuing them with national honours and a certificate of recognition. Again, I will ensure that there is life insurance cover, reasonable funds to keep them active and equipped with good businesses immediately the rescue mission is over, and normalcy is restored.
Furthermore, I will ensure there is a pool of funds for both volunteers and the rescued persons to pay their medical bills, therapy, and medical check-ups for some months before they are reintegrated into society. The fund will also cover their education fees for those who volunteer to help.
Those awards will encourage them while igniting a fresh fire for help in the hearts of many. Doing so will pave the way to establishing a culture of response and a strong volunteering channel, which will metamorphose into a structured system of support for such emergencies.

There will be an open call to register, while further training will be given to those heroes to refine and prepare them for greater tasks, any time, any day. This is because they have written their names in the sands of time through this work of love, proving that even in the darkest moments, love can find its way to bring healing, care, and comfort beyond boundaries.
