On the process of trying t keep my laptop's health and doing something extra I decided to get a keyboard. In this case a mechanical one. The idea came about by watching so many people using them. I've had keyboards before, but only membrane ones. This are ok, but they don't last.
Mechanical keyboards work with switches. Those are moe durable. They also have the added sound factor. Think about older keyboards from the tie computers were all white. That is the sound. It is interesting. There are also silent options for those who don't like the clicking.
The other options is customización. The switches give your the possibility of changing the keys for some others and make the keyboard a more personal accessory. A nice you h in this era.
Some of these things can be quite pricey according to the kind of keys, the switches and other features.
Mine is a 60% keyboard. It means it is compact and the the rest of the functions are made by holding some keys together. It also comes with the tools to remove keys and switches. Since it came with 2 orange keys to customize the ESC key and space bar, I went ahead and changed them. It had a price tag of 40$. This is a sort of low-end keyboard. There are a lot that are worth even more.
And as you can see it has yellow lights. You can also modify the pattern of lightning, but these are not suitable for using using it. Without lights you can't see the letters and numbers on the keys.
Besides that, I love the design. And it looks cool on my desk.
