The drama in the world of finance and treasurer is quite alot to grapple with. A glimpse of this free write context simply brought a flash of all the weird things Ive seen and heard about some treasurers. I was talking with a friend of mine who had just been a victim of an online scam and she told me a very weird story. She had gotten herself involved in this business model that pays her for advertising online and trying to get customers for online shops. When she told me the systems modalities involved in these things, I just knew it was scam.
She would pay in some money as if to buy some goods online and then do some tasks they asked her to do and then they would pay her back her money with some interest. So she paid #10,000 and she got #14,000, that is extra 4000 as her gain.
It felt cool, so she paid another 14,000 and got 20,000 the second time. Then the third time, she took a whooping sun of #200,000 and paid in and that was were the problem started.
When it was time for her to be paid, they told her she needs to update her payment to #600,000 to be paid. She went to meeet one of her friends who was a treasurer to someone she works for. She asked the friend to borrow her some money that she would pay back in two days.
She was hoping to pay back when they people pays her. She didn’t explain the kind of deal she was going into to her treasurer friend. Then the amazing thing happened. The friend didn’t have that amount of money she was asking for. She went and carried her boss’s money, #400,000 and gave to her friend hoping to replace it when she pays back.
Well, that where the real drama now began. When she gave them the extra #400,000 they said she needs to upgrade to the final package of #1,200,000 and then they would pay her #2,100,000. That was when she knew she was in for a big mess.
She cried and begged and pleaded but these people were ruthless scammers and she was pregnant. The quests how will they replace the money that was given to her friend to hold which gave to her without the consent of her boss?
