I am sure we have heard so much about been consistent and how important it is everyday in our day to day life hustle. If you really want to succeed in anything you do, you must apply the principle of consistency.
Well, I am not a motivational speaker and I am not even about to be but I am simply talking from my little experiences as a babygirl that I am. While consistency is not an easy task, it surely pays.
In the real estate company where am trying to fit in, they put up a poster in the office that says dress up every day and show up. This simply talks about the importance of consistency and showing up everyday.
If two people get enrolled in the same business, the one who shows up everyday and does the right things will over time be more productive than the one who decides to show up once in a blue moon.
The thing about consistency is that you do not know the days the luck would shine on you. What if you are not where you should be? Maybe luck is not the right word to use but I know you definitely understand what I am trying to say. There is always that day when all the seemingly effort that wasn’t working would finally work. It’s always seem like magic but if we are not on on position or point of duty, we would likely miss that special breakthrough moment.
One of my mentors whom I respect so much once told me that nature has a way of rewarding faithfulness. And that’s what happens to people who are being consistent.
From my little experience on hive in the few weeks I have been here, I have learnt that being consistent is a great virtue. Well, it’s not just enough to show up everyday, it’s also okay to be willing to learn.
As you show up and keep doing the things you do, you would find out whether it’s working on not. If it is not working, then It would be ok for you to find out from others who are in the same thing but are getting more results than you what they are doing.
It’s not just okay to show up everyday, you must do the right things or the things that are necessary to get the right results. Initially when I came to hive, the first three weeks was hell. I come online drop my post and vanished. I was showing up everyday but so wasn’t getting the needed results.
I had to reach out for help from someone whom I see that was also showing up but seemed to know more than I do. Thank goodness he was open to teach me and help. He showed me what I wasn’t doing right and taught me the power of engagement.
Next time I showed up, I didn’t just make a post and vanished, I engaged with others and that’s what hive is all about right? If it’s a social media platform why not engage.
So I was consistent in showing up and doing the needful and I started seeing the difference. I still have alot to learn in my hiving experience but so have know that showing up everyday can make a whole lot of difference as well as engaging with others m. The little I’ve known so far came from my engagement with others.
I am grateful to @taskmaster4450le, @zuerich, @justclickindiva, @shortsegments, @borjan, @meno, @fieryfootprints, @gogreenbuddy, @edicted, @nkemakolam89 and others for all the immense help you’ve shown me in my little hive experience so far. This is me saying thank you again for all the support.
