I've often heard that Eastern Indonesia is a paradise for beautiful beaches, and I agree with that statement. However, when people say the western tip of Indonesia lacks stunning beaches, I immediately refute them. I was truly captivated by the many beach destinations in the western tip of Indonesia, one of which is Gapang Beach on Weh Island.
So, please continue to follow my simple blog to see some pictures and my experiences visiting this tourist destination over the past few days.
When it comes to vacationing on Weh Island, it feels like there's never enough time to enjoy and explore the beauty of all its beaches, exploring every inch of this small island at the western tip of Indonesia. The uniqueness of the places we'll encounter seems endless. One of them, Gapang Beach, located further south than Iboih Beach, is well-known.
A few days ago, I had the opportunity to visit this tourist destination while on vacation on Weh Island. Here are some photos I took about 100 meters before arriving at the entrance to this tourist destination.
Welcome to Gapang Beach.
The weather was so sunny, considering I was traveling to this tourist destination during the day, when it's usually busier in the afternoon. However, since I was focused on enjoying the atmosphere of this beach, I prefer a quiet atmosphere a little away from the crowds, so we decided to travel during the day.

As soon as I arrived at this beach, one of the green and orange gates of Gapang Beach greeted me. This was the gate. I also took a moment to take some pictures showcasing the beach gate. I think this beach gate has such interesting architecture, with its own unique pattern and a very beautiful combination of colors to look at.
As soon as I passed through the gate of this beach, I immediately saw an asphalt road that was slightly downhill and along the right and left sides of the road were decorated with shady trees and when I arrived at the bottom and was immediately greeted by the beauty of Gapang Beach, I just realized that the first thing that greeted me when entering the area was one of the public facilities found in the Aceh region, this facility is a prayer room that we can use for free by visitors both to rest and to pray.
After parking my motorcycle, I began exploring this beach destination. It's one of my favorite areas. I saw so many shady trees adorning the coastline, the white sand, the turquoise-to-blue water, and most importantly, the breathtaking views. Even I was mesmerized by the sight. But what I loved most about this beach was the serene atmosphere during my visit.

The calm waters of this beach make it a perfect destination for families and those wanting to learn snorkeling. In my personal experience, this destination is always packed with visitors traveling with family and friends. Many people say that Gapang Beach has calmer waves compared to several other beaches on Weh Island. This is because Gapang Beach directly faces the open sea and is also decorated with several islands around it. In addition, there are fewer local boats moored on the edge of this beach compared to other beaches on Weh Island, such as Iboih Beach. This makes Gapang a suitable place for those who are interested in learning to snorkel or surf.
As I mentioned above, I visited this beach during the day, which made the blue sky and wispy clouds create some truly stunning images.

Along the coastline, I also encountered many long concrete benches nestled under large trees. In the afternoon, visitors often enjoy the beach atmosphere while sitting on them.
This made me imagine that if I were there at night, I wouldn't have enough time to relax and enjoy the beauty of Gapang Beach while sitting among these benches.
Regarding the facilities at this beach, they are very complete, ranging from prayer rooms to accommodations, also available in the Gapang Beach tourist destination area. These are some of the pictures I took while exploring other corners of the beach area. I came across a wooden signpost Pantai Gapang which, in my opinion, has a natural vibe, not too commercial, but it managed to attract my attention to approach it and take some pictures.
