I went to the Reddit link. I see you threw caution to the winds, as they warned of many, many discarded syringes.
One thing I know from looking at the derelict mess and from living many years...somebody made money off this failed enterprise. And a lot of people lost money.

I'm sure its not the owners. Someone must own this mess, and getting around all the red tape is the general problem.
