I remember growing up to watching some TV shows, aside reality TV shows self, of which many memories of them still stay glued to my head up till now that I am an adult, like Super story, This Life, Binta and friends, Papa Ajasco & Company, and many more that I don't think I can remember at this very moment.

And in the process of growing to sitting to the TV screen, I think I had a less of reality TV shows to watch maybe they faded away or it's just the only one I remember that existed then which was Gulder Ultimate search. These reality TV show was one of the shows I would gladly sit to watch alongside my family, seeing the whole games, tour, accidents and many more just to get a prize.
This reality TV show didn't just stay glued to my head but because of the whole interesting and educating part where we get to learn many things on how to make decisions or go about our way of life as many of these games often interpretes to the obstacles of life so they had their permanent stay in my head compared to the type of reality TV shows we have today in this era.
Normally, we know that as time goes by and year runs over years, things become more bad and worse. Way of living became more expensive, way of reasoning became more complicated and entertainment industries became extremely worse in what they produce out to the world, giving more of the negative impact to the world than the positive impact they offer.

Couple with the fact that we as humans never wanted something that could make us learn and build us but we would rather prefer something of less value and impact but even still though, we can't generally focus on the bad side of these TV shows to ban all reality TV shows where we had shows like Project fame back then or let's say generally talent reality shows, but rather, the board in charge of these entertainment industry should be able to screen out shows that are not beneficial to the general public and not even about an average person alone.
Though the fact still remains that there are mostly some lessons we ought to expose our teenagers to so that they don't end up making the wrong decisions or be exposed wrongly by what they see independently when we are not around them most especially when it comes to acquiring wealth or relationship matters but not when it comes to all the reality TV shows we have available on our screens nowadays.

There is actually no impact and value they are adding to the society and minds of people but to even damage the orientation of people.
Another main issue that calls for concern also lies in the parents not taking note of every PG warnings at the beginning of every show to be able to know if such a child should be allowed access to such show or not.
You would see a 5 year old boy watching big brother Naija show in the presence of the so-called parent and they are all chorusing the entry song or even names of the participants and all they could do was saying wow to how the kid has come to know the names already.
In my conclusion, I wouldn't say reality TV shows be banned but the board in charge of what happens in the entertainment industry should diligently screen whatever shows that are proposed to be aired to the general public with the intention to protect the public and not protecting their own advantages.
