Happy Cat Day
Cat Day is celebrated every August 8th, 23 years ago. It was created by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
The establishment of this date is intended to raise awareness of the importance of caring for and protecting cats.
For this reason, I present to you Musa, a black cat with green eyes who, contrary to popular belief, has never brought me bad luck.
Musa is a quiet kitty with a sweet meow that's almost imperceptible.
At night, she goes out onto the rooftops until bedtime. Musa doesn't like sleeping outside. She's slept on my pillow since she was little.
I admit I've always had dogs since I was little, and I was put off by cats because they aren't as affectionate as dogs.
That's what I used to think. Before I met cats.
Such a comparison is foolish, since each animal species is different and we must accept them as they are. Accept them with their virtues and their flaws.
Cats are majestic, proud, independent, strong, sensitive, and beautiful beings.
They show their affection and respect differently than dogs. Of course: they're not dogs!
But the thrill of having someone bring us some of their hunted prey to share is indescribable.
I've enjoyed raising my cats so much that I only regret having wasted so much time getting my first cat.
Now I want more.

Hola, amantes de los gatos en todo el mundo.
Feliz día del gato
El día del gato se celebra todos los 8 de agosto, hace 23 años. El responsable de su creación fue el Fondo Internacional para el Bienestar Animal.
El establecimiento de esta fecha tiene la intención de crear consciencia de la importancia del cuidado y protección de los gatos.
Por tal razón les presento a Musa, una gata de color negro y ojos verdes que, contrario a la creencia universal, no me ha traído nunca mala suerte.
Musa es una gatita tranquila, de un maullido dulce, que casi no se siente.
Por las noches, sale a los tejados hasta la hora de dormir. A Musa no le gusta dormir afuera. Ella duerme en mi almohada desde pequeña.
Reconozco que siempre he tenido perros desde pequeño y le hacía rechazo a los gatos, ya que no son tan cariñosos como los perros.
Así pensaba antes. Antes de conocer a los gatos.
Es una insensatez esa comparación, ya que cada especie animal es diferente y hay que aceptarlas como son. Aceptarlas con sus virtudes y sus defectos
Los gatos son seres majestuosos, orgullosos, independientes, fuertes, sensibles, hermosos.
Muestran su cariño y respeto de forma distinta a los perros. Por supuesto: ¡no son perros!
Pero esa emoción de que nos traigan alguna presa que cazaron, para compartirla, es inefable.
Yo he disfrutado tanto de la crianza de mis gatas, que solo lamento haber perdido tanto tiempo en tener mi primer gato.
Ahora quiero más.
